Using a bar shampoo may be a new idea to you, but it's really very simple. Just wet your hair and rub the bar around in it until you get the lather you want. Using the fingertips, massage the lather into the scalp and rinse out completely. If you normally use conditioner, apply it on the hair avoiding the scalp area. An apple cider rinse following your shampoo aids with manageability and leaves the hair soft and beautifully shiny and full. Apple cider vinegar removes build-up from the hair and restores a proper pH to the scalp. My scalp feels so healthy with this rinse, I do it after every shampoo. To do the rinse, put 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup and add approximately 8 oz. of warm water from the shower. Rinse immediately or leave on the scalp while you finish your shower and then rinse out completely. The vinegar smell will dissipate once your hair is dry. You may find that with the rinse, you no longer need to use conditioner!

Using a bar shampoo may be a new idea to you, but it's really very simple. Just follow these few steps:
- Just wet your hair and rub the bar around in it until you get the lather you want.
- Using the fingertips, massage the lather into the scalp and rinse out completely.
- We recommend that you use our Beauty Balance rinse, it is Apple cider vinegar that is infused with numerous herbs that help to pull the beauty out of your hair and balance the hair’s pH to the scalp.
Please Note:
Our soaps and shampoo bars are handcrafted so each batch can turn out looking slightly different (ex. exact weight, color shades) from the last. Also note that our essential oil soaps have a very light scent, much milder than ones scented with fragrance oils.
If you're new to shampoo bars, you may notice that your hair behaves differently at first. It is normal for your hair to go through a transition period when switching from liquid shampoos to solid bar shampoos which don't strip the scalp as liquid shampoos do. It will be different for everyone - anywhere from one week to a month. Some people never notice a transition period at all. We recommend waiting until you've used up one whole shampoo bar (depending on how often you shampoo, it can last a month!) before deciding if the shampoo bar is working for your hair type.
To ensure the longevity of your bar it is so important to keep it out of water when not in use. A well-draining soap dish will make your bar last a long time. We highly recommend a wood soap deck or tray with drainage. Upon receiving your soap please remove it from the package so that it can continue to breath, dry out and will last longer. We package our soap with holes in the plastic for this reason.
The average approximate weight of each bar is 3.00 oz.
